ABOUT KAT

Kat Barrell has shot over 100 episodes of scripted television and 10 feature films (leading 7 of them).  She is best known for her series regular roles as Officer Nicole Haught on WYNONNA EARP (4 seasons, NBC, SYFY), Alicia Rutherford on WORKIN’ MOMS (3 seasons, NETFLIX) and Joy Harper on GOOD WITCH (2 seasons, HALLMARK).  She has two E! People’s Choice awards as part of the Wynonna Earp Cast and was awarded the ‘TV Line Performer of the Month’ and ‘Spoiler TV Performer of the Year’ awards for her television work in 2018. 

Kat was most recently honored with the 2020 Canadian Screen Award, Audience Choice.

She is a graduate of George Brown Classical Theatre School and trained at the Groundlings School of Comedy in Los Angeles as well as attending the UCLA extension program with a focus in television directing. 

Kat has worked as both a director and producer on 7 short films of which ISSUES, CANNONBALL, DISSECTING GWEN, and MATURE YOUNG ADULTS have screened at film festivals across North America.
